Hey there, welcome to our site! We’re Real Expressions, a Massachusetts-based band playing a groovy mix of rock, pop, and Americana. We love blending catchy originals with timeless favorites, creating sets that feel fun, familiar, and full of energy. We all write music, sometimes together, which brings a mix of perspectives into everything we play. What makes this band special to us is the chemistry we share on stage, listening closely, playing off each other naturally, and bringing our own personality into every performance. We also leave room for improvisation, extended jams, and real-time inspiration, letting each show take on a life of its own. Whether we’re playing a local venue, private event, or community gathering, our goal is to make every performance feel alive, shared, and genuinely unforgettable.

About Us

Real Expressions is made up of friends, neighbors, and parents who live in Natick and came together through a shared love of music. Most of us first met through Jess’s music studio, where our kids were students, and what started as casual connections quickly grew into a band built on trust, friendship, and a lot of time making music together. Jess and Evan are married, and all of us balance life as parents with our shared creative outlet.

The band is Adam on drums, Sean on guitar and vocals, Jesse on bass, vocals, and ukulele, Evan on guitar, and Jess on vocals and piano.
Each of us brings a different musical background into the mix, from classical training and jazz influences to old-time blues, bluegrass, classic rock, and even 80s pop.

Those varied inspirations shape the way we write, arrange, and play together, giving our sound both depth and range.

At the heart of Real Expressions is exactly what our name suggests: genuine musical expression. We focus on listening closely to one another, staying open to ideas in the moment, and letting songs evolve naturally through collaboration and improvisation. We take the music seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Above all, we’re here to create, connect, and have a lot of fun doing it.
